Works are underway, at William Francis Roantree Park Leixlip

Leixlip Disability Access Group are progressing a viewing platform with Parks Dept KCC and County Kildare Access Network.  While on a walkability audit with a wheelchair user and at our public meeting a number of projects were suggested/identified for progressing.  We met with KCC Parks Dept and with funding from KCC and CLMD Cllrs it was possible to progress a viewing platform that everyone can use.  The previous viewing platform had panels that needed amending in order to allow for everyone to have a view.  This is a pilot project for Kildare, it is one that could roll out as a model for many other viewing platforms.  Universal Accessibility @ Kildare
