The Maynooth Access Group (MAG), in collaboration with CKAN.ie, is committed to enhancing accessibility for neurodiverse individuals in Kildare’s public libraries.

Due to the high demand for CKAN’s sensory toy boxes, a comprehensive audit was conducted to assess their usage and effectiveness. As part of this initiative, MAG actively engaged with all 15 libraries in Kildare, working closely with staff to understand their specific needs for sensory toys and equipment.

To ensure continued support for neurodiverse visitors, the CKAN sensory toy boxes have now been audited, refreshed, and restocked with new materials, enhancing the accessibility and inclusivity of our public libraries.

This initiative reaffirms our commitment to creating welcoming spaces for everyone in our community.
