What a way to finish up for the year! On the 6th of December 2024 we had the honour of attending the culture and diversity day at Colaiste Chiarain, Leixlip and what a wonderful event it was. Great food, beautiful costumes and a warm inclusive environment. While there we had the privilege of meeting Dr Niall Muldoon, the Ombudsman for Children. Niall got to hear all about the Our World Disability Awareness programme and the various initiatives being undertaken by CKAN. He was presented with a CKAN flag and copies of Johnny Magory and the Mystery of the Missing Puppies and our latest venture “Accessible adventures” by Ciara Chapman. Another special guest in attendance was past pupil and model Aishah Akorede. We had a great chat with the stunning Aishah about our inclusive toy collection and the work of the group.
